Microlearning is more engaging and effective
Easy to process, easy to retain.
In 2000, the average attention span was 12 seconds, and by 2013 this number dropped to just 8 seconds. During classroom training, a student’s peak energy level is during the first 8 minutes. After 20 minutes there is a noticeable drop, and after 60 minutes, alertness collapses.
Microlearning reverses the “forgetting curve” and keeps learners’ attention by spoon-feeding small chunks of learning , one topic at a time. These “snacks” of information build into a robust and sticky learning experience over time.
